YEAR ROUND PRODUCTS

Fuel Right Diesel and Fuel Oil Treatment
Fuel Right (6 oz.) (Basic Formula)

This is the chemistry that put us on the map in 1996. Previously called Fuel Right EP, the formula has been made more concentrated without sacrificing any of the active ingredients or performance, so it now comes in smaller containers. Also available for order of three bottles as a retail trial pack.

Dosage Recommendations:
One 6-ounce bottle per 275 or 300 gallon tank-add once or twice a year. This is a shock treatment of the whole system and does not need to be done with every fill. For bulk treating fuel (low level treatment) this bottle treats 700 gallons. At this dose rate you should treat all of the fuel all the time. Bulk treating ULSD fuel reduces metal wear and extends the life of injector pumps and injectors.

Above treat rates are designed to give the most cost-effective solutions to fuel problems, adding more or treating more often rarely has a down side other than cost. More Fuel Right will accelerate dissipation of old, existing sludge in the system-but may, under certain circumstances, loosen the old sludge and lead to sludge carryover into filters. See Treating Agitated Systems for more information.
Fuel Right Small Engine Tonic
Fuel Right Small Engine Tonic (1 oz.)

1 Ounce Treats 50 Gallons Of Gasoline Or Diesel Fuel

Fuel Right Small Engine Tonic is a highly concentrated formula that contains no useless fillers or additives.  Just one ounce treats 50 Gallons of fuel ... Gasoline OR Diesel ... making Small Engine Tonic an economical solution to restoring small engines to like new condition!

Fuel Right Small Engine Tonic restores the performance and power your engine once had & safely and effectively strips away carbon buildup, gums, varnish ... even diesel fuel sludge ... that inhibit engine performance and reduce engine power.   Fuel Right Small Engine Tonic also lets you get the most out of your fuel by burning more completely and cleanly ... saving you money, and maximizing fuel economy by burning fuel more completely.

Fuel Right Small Engine Tonic works to protect your entire fuel system against damaging rust and corrosion caused by moisture and ethanol fuels.  An exclusive Filming Amine Corrosion Inhibitor provides a protective coating on all of the entire engine fuel system - even when the engine is in storage.

Fuel Right Diesel and Fuel Oil Additive
Fuel Right (24 oz.)

Offering the same time-tested formula as the 6-oz bottle, this larger size provides greater economy and convenience for treating larger tanks or larger quantities of fuel. Its primary use is for bulk-treating fuel delivery trucks. Also available for order of two bottles as a retail trial pack.

Dosage Recommendations:
One bottle is a shock treatment for a 1000 gallon tank once or twice a year. For bulk treating, one bottle treats approximately 2800 gallons of fuel (a typical delivery truck). Fuel Right basic formula will rapidly mix without agitation, and can therefore be poured into the tank or truck before, during or after filling.
fuel right 15k additive treatment
Fuel Right 15K (half gal.)

Made up of the same formula as the smaller bottles, the name reflects its 1:15,000 treat ratio for bulk treating larger quantities of heating oil or diesel fuel. The primary use for this bottle is for bulk treating transport loads of fuel.

Dosage Recommendations:
One bottle is a shock treatment for approximately 3000 gallons of fuel. (See Treating Larger Tanks for additional information.) For bulk treating, one bottle treats 7500 gallons. This may be added before, during or after loading.
Fuel Right 30K Anti Sludge Additive
Fuel Right 30K  Super Concentrate (12 oz, 1/2 Gal, 5 Gal, 30 Gal, 55 Gal)

30K contains the same active ingredients as standard Fuel Right - but without the anti-freeze solvent.  The name comes from its 1:30,000 treat rate for bulk treating, this version is the most economical way to treat against sludge, fouling and corrosion in fuel systems.

Dosage Recommendations:
One 12-ounce bottle bulk-treats a 2800-3000 gallon delivery truck, and should be added to every truckload of fuel.  For shock-treating mid-sized storage tanks, one bottle should be added for each 1000-1200 gallons tank size one to four times a year, depending on how often the tank contents are turned.

Fuel Right 30K (half gal.)

This larger bottle is more convenient and economical for treating larger storage tanks.  This product is particularly useful for shock-treating underground tanks to protect against "coffee grounds" rusting problems at gas stations and convenience stores.  It was for this use that the members of PMAA in 2014 voted Fuel Right "Best in the US."

Dosage Recommendations:
One 64-ounce bottle bulk-treats 15,000 gallons of fuel, and should be added to every gallon at this rate.  For shock-treating storage tanks use one bottle for every 6000 gallons of fuel.  For treating larger tanks, treating for "coffee grounds" rusting problems,  or other questions, contact your representative or call us at 302-425-4400.
Fuel Right Diesel with Lube
Fuel Right Diesel - With Lube ++ (8 oz.)

This diesel formula is the same basic chemistry as above Fuel Right products with a substantial dose of fuel lubricity agents.  In addition to  controlling sludge, fouling, corrosion, and freeze-ups in diesel equipment, it also reduces metal wear in ULSD service and extends the life of injector and injector pumps.

Dosage Recommendations:
One bottle is a shock treatment for 100 gallons of fuel. Treat every fill to get maximum wear protection, or every 3-4 fills if control of sludge, fouling and corrosion is the only concern and reduced metal wear is not a requirement.
Fuel Right ProActive

Fuel Right ProActive (12 oz.)

ProActive® by Fuel Right is a unique blend of powerful proprietary chemistries intended for use in middle distillate fuels (primarily diesel) in marine, automotive, and agricultural applications.

It is designed to clean your fuel system from the tank to filters and strainers to injectors. ProActive® begins by removing sludge and contamination from your fuel system, allowing suspended particulate to fall to the bottom of the fuel tank. ProActive® leaves behind a microscopic corrosion barrier film that protects the tank and fuel components from corrosion even in the presence of water and contamination.

1:10,000 - bulk dose rate 1:4,000 - shock dose rate

WINTER PRODUCTS

These products were developed specifically to address cold-weather issues. Fuel Right products include a fuel anti-freeze to protect against fuel line freeze-ups. This means that, unlike most anti-gel additives, Fuel Right winter treatments are designed to deal with all three common cold weather concerns: waxing, gelling and freeze-ups. Because waxing is a genuine problem in diesel equipment, and because this is the harder of the two "Paraffin" problems to treat against, the polymer used in Fuel Right winter treatments is selected to give the best possible anti-waxing (CFPP) performance.
Fuel Right Cold Flow Additive
Cold Flow (16 oz.)

This is a winter treatment for outdoor 275 or 300-gallon fuel tanks. It does not contain the filming amine chemistry that fights sludge, fouling and corrosion but rather contains, in addition to the fuel anti-freeze, a healthy dose of a polymer that lowers pour point and fights waxing. Cold Flow is intended only for use in heating oil and off-road diesel applications, and is not registered with the EPA as an on-road diesel treatment. In addition to the 16-oz. bottle, Cold Flow is available in 55-gallon drums. Also available for order of two bottles as a retail trial pack.

Dosage Recommendations:
One bottle treats a 275 or 300-gallon tank. Cold Flow should be added to the tank just before each winter fill to provide some mixing action. For bulk-treating fuel use at a 1:2000 treat ratio.
Fuel Right Diesel Winter Blend Additive
Fuel Right Diesel - Winter Blend (8 oz.)

This formula combines a bulk treatment dose of basic Fuel Right chemistry to tackle common sludge, fouling and corrosion problems, plus a polymer that lowers pour point and waxing tendencies.

Dosage Recommendations:
One bottle gives a bulk treatment dose of Fuel Right for 100 gallons of fuel, plus maximum level treatment for waxing and gelling. This treatment should be used for every fill during the mid-winter months.
Winter 2.8K

This product is a more concentrated version of Bulk Winter Diesel that offers the benefit of reduced treatment costs. It offers the same exact level of treatment and protection as Bulk Winter Diesel above.

Dosage Recommendations:
Available only in 55-gallon drums and larger bulk quantities, one gallon treats 2800 gallons of fuel. The same mixing recommendations apply as for Bulk Winter Diesel.
Winter 2K - Bulk Winter Diesel

This formula combines a bulk treatment dose of basic Fuel Right chemistry to tackle typical sludge, fouling, and corrosion problems, plus a polymer that lowers pour point and waxing tendencies. This is for use in climates where ambient temperatures generally do not fall below 0° F. It offers total protection against sludge, fouling, corrosion, metal wear, and freeze-ups

Dosage Recommendations:
Available only in 55-gallon drums and larger bulk containers, one gallon treats 2000 gallons of fuel. It should be used for all fuel during the mid-winter months. The same mixing guidelines apply as for Bulk Winter Diesel above.
Fuel Right Thaw Additive
Thaw (8 oz.)

This product is a de-icer and anti-freeze designed to find and melt ice in fuel lines and to prevent freezing of water and deposits in the system. It is a larger dose of the same glycol ether found in all Fuel Right treatments.

Dosage Recommendations:
The very nature of an anti-freeze is that the dose rate depends not on how much fuel is in the system, but rather how much water or ice is present. A general guide is to use one 8-oz bottle in a home heating system or similar size diesel system-more in larger systems. For faster results or unusual situations more Thaw may be added. There is no maximum recommended dose, except that, once the concentration of Thaw in the fuel exceeds perhaps around 10% of the total mix, some reduction in engine or burner performance might be expected, as glycol ether is not as potent a fuel as is #2 distillate.

LABORATORY SERVICES

Fuel Right Jar Tests
Not Sure What You Are You Looking At?

We offer laboratory testing services to our clients to help them identify fuel issues that they may be dealing with. Our lab in Wilmington, Delaware is fully equipped with the analytical equipment to evaluate your fuel sample. Please contact us for more details.

If you wish to compare your existing fuel treatment product with Fuel Right, we would be happy to perform the 18 month test in our lab and provide a full report once the analysis is complete.

Please CONTACT US for further information on our services.

Fuel quality is a major concern for all of our customers and, unfortunately, the Certificate of Analysis that is provided by the ASTM (American Society for Testing and Materials) is not an accurate indicator of potential fuel quality issues.

We have developed a comprehensive three-step testing program that provides real results. This allows Fuel Right users access to free testing of fuels for quality and stability, and free help in identifying and stopping fuel-side problems.
  • Is Your Fuel Clean and Contaminant Free - does your fuel have good storage ability, will it deteriorate over time?

  • Does Your Fuel Have Thermal Stability - will it cause nozzle-plugging issues when heated?

  • What Is Your Fuel's Pour Point - what is the lowest temperature that your fuel can endure before potential freeze-ups occur?
Once the testing is complete, we provide a full written report outlining the results and including professional advice for addressing any issues.
